Chance has so many different facial expressions lately. They are all so cute! The one below is Chance happy. This one below is of Chance sad.

This one is one of my favorites, below is Chance angry. Ok, so you get the idea, he has one look for every emotion. Hopefully it is just a phase.

We went bowling for Grandpa Peterson's birthday and the kids had too much fun. Oh, and by the way, below is Chance's bowling face.

Goodies Galore!

I baked for 2 days straight for the neighborhood and also my mom's school treats. It was fun. I made truffles, candy cookies, gingerbread snowflakes, cupcakes, and candy cane cookies.

I think I made about 130 cupcakes total. It was fun. I never realized how hard it can be to pipe chocolate snowflakes, but I did it!

I got to make a dessert for our ward Christmas party so I made little baby Jesus cakes. I thought it turned out pretty cute! You can never have too many trees in your house! This is our basement tree with sentimental ornaments on it.

This is the rotating "pretty" tree that is in our front room. I love it. I just wish Chance would leave it alone! Oh, and there are big bows all around it not just in the middle of that one spot. That looks stupid.

This was such a Christmasy scene coming home through the snowy mountains while a train wraps around the bends. It was awesome! It was around 1:00am in this picture I think. We had just finished putting the whole room together. I think it looks so nice and cozy! This was our last night in the Ricks home.

Miriam and Shays room now looks so much brighter and fun! It was fun painting their house and decorating. I can't wait to come back and do the upstairs!

We'll Miss You Puppy!

Shane and I were in the movie theatre when we got "that" phone call. We hopped on the motorcycle and hurried home as fast as we could, but we were too late. At 5:00 puppy got hit by a car. Her back end was paralyzed and she was trying to get up but couldn't. Mom sat there in the road with her until help came. When her and the driver moved her off the road, she started to calm down. Shane and I were frantically calling all the vets and finding they were all closed. At 5:15 puppy died. She bled internally. Shane and I pulled in two minutes later. Puppy was born in June of 2002. We adopted her when she was 10 weeks old. She lived a very happy 9 years. She loved to run in the fields, play and sleep at the neighbors, go camping, play with the kids, visit Burt and Tucker and of course....chase cars.

We buried her out back nine pine trees down the row. We will miss her very much. She was such a good dog. She will never be forgotten.

First Day of School

Brigham picked his own clothes this year to buy for school, and this is what he wanted to wear on his first day of second grade. He missed the bus because the lady came 10 minutes early so he got to ride with Jaz. (I have to take her for the first week). Jaz was so excited for kindergarten! She was up the stairs and dressed and ready to go. She has been waiting for this day for 2 years now. She loved it! I can't believe how grown up they are!

My poor little family had the roughest night last night and all day today. It started off with Shane saying he wasn't feeling very well. One hour later Jaz came upstairs asking for a bowl. She threw up every 20 minutes all through the night. 3 hours later Brigham came into my room covered from head to toe (literally) in throw up. Since it was 4:00 in the morning and I still hadn't gotten a chance to lay down, I started the laundry and cleaning the couch, carpet, hallway, pillows, clothes, towels, etc. After I got the majority cleaned up till morning Chance woke up at 6:00 am for a bottle. I fed him and layed him back down, and started cleaning up new throw up again. I called mom and asked her to come over and help watch Chance so I could shampoo all our upstairs carpets and mop the tile. Laundry seemed endless. I was exhausted. Luckily mom stayed so I could lay down for an hour. Jaz was still puking so I didn't get much rest. Then it hit me hard. I wanted to die it hurt so bad. Then Shane got a message from our next door neighbors saying Chris had a stroke and took a turn for the worst today. They are doing surgery on her tomorrow but it doesn't look good. She has always been a good neighbor to us and we wish her all the luck in the world. All of us were still sick by 6:00 pm and it started to storm bad. it rain and blew so hard. I was able to get a 2 hour nap and when I woke up I looked out the window there was a huge full double rainbow. It didn't last long but it was exactly what our little family needed at the moment. We went out on the porch and sat and watched it for 10 minutes until it was gone. I have high hopes that we will all be 100% better by tomorrow for our family pictures.

I bought these pants for Jaz 4 months ago because they were on sale for $6 and they were huge on her. Well I pulled them out yesterday and they fit her perfect now! I told her I wanted to take a picture of her cute little bum and it turned into a photo shoot. She had a bazillion poses she wanted to do. I only put the two pictures on though. It was funny.

Today was a perfect day. I woke up early and went to zumba then when I got home I showered and we went to town for breakfast/lunch. Afterwards I went to the breadman and got a birthday cake. (This one was really yummy.) Then we went to teton and bought an elephant slide. It will be really cute once I get it painted brighter colors. Then we went to splash park and played in the water and soaked up the sun. When we got home I made a ham dinner and we had birthday cake/brownie that my friend and her 2 kids made for me. Then we went to the drive-in to see Cars 2 and Transformers 3. I didn't get to see either cuz Chance was fussy and tired so I kept him in the car till he fell asleep, then I fell asleep. Brigham was wide awake for both movies but we had to leave early (around 2:00 am) because we were all exhausted. It was alot of fun. I really like the low-key birthdays. Shane bought me a pair of Zumba pants, but I won't get them for a few weeks. My candle below says "29 again". I think I might use it for next year too. Here we are at the drive-in. It was packed! The smokers always make it less fun to be there but oh well, what can you do? Chance is beating up Brigham.

We went to a dinner at the park the other day and there was a goldfish pond. I accidentally left my purse at home so Jaz wasn't able to get a goldfish. Well the next day we went to town and we got her two fish and Brigham two fish. Jaz told the lady that she wanted the tiny baby goldfish and the lady told her that she should get the bigger gold one because it was healthier and would live longer so she did. The next day we found her fish floating at the bottom on it's side. So Jaz said she would flush it. She was acting all sad (fake whimpering etc.) and when I told her to smile, she stopped fussing immediately and smiled for the camera. I thought it was funny. Anyway, one down three to go!

Chukars Wins a Game!

We got to go to the chukars tonight for our anniversary, and it was a good game! There was a homerun, a baseball bat blew to pieces and the catcher got hit in the jewels.

We got a box suite that included a little living room and private deck courtesy of Doug Andrus Distributing which made it a little easier controlling our out of control kids.

Ok, so our anniversary isn't until Wednesday but we decided to go on a trip over the weekend to celebrate. So we hopped on the motorcycle and drove through Yellowstone Park for 4 days. So just beware there are a bazillion pictures. On our first day we got caught in a very bad rain storm. All we had was a sweatshirt (me) and a light jacket (Shane). It was very cold! We got stopped in construction during it and had no where to go. When we eventually got to Montana we weren't able to check-in because our hands didn't function so the owner had to fill out the paper work for us. We were DRENCHED. We stayed at the Alpine Lodge (right next to the playmill theater about). We took off our sopping wet clothes and came to find out that everything in our backpack was soaked too. So we climbed under the covers wrapped in bath towels to get warm until it stopped raining. When I could feel my toes again we walked down to the laundromat and threw everything (shoes included) into the dryer. Even the clothes we are wearing in the picture are wet, but we couldn't stand there naked!

I had to stand in front of the dryer and hold the door shut because our shoes kept flying out. They never did get fully dry till the next day. After we got some dry clothes on we went out and ate at a restaurant called Gushers. It was pretty good. Then I went and found the fudge shop and got the best chocolate covered caramel ever!

This was the best picture I could get of a buffalo. There weren't really any close ones. This guy was eating just up the hill from where we parked. Yippity Doo Dah.

This tree had some cool branches. They were really fuzzy.

I caught a rainbow in this pic. We were looking down at the falls. This was one of the longer hikes.

Do you see Shane clear up there on a rock? This is a different waterfall. We saw probably 4 or 5 different waterfalls.

Shane told me to go stand out there on the rocks so I did and 2 seconds later the water rose FAST and covered my entire foot! Arg! It took me almost 2 days to get that shoe dry and now I had to start all over again!

Blurping, bubbling mud. It was kinda neat.

This is the little trail that went from our cabin door to Old Faithful. It was so close! We had the most requested room there! We watched it blow from our cabin window. It took 1 minute to walk up to the benches from our room.

Here is our cute little cabin. It was so nice to have the cabin feel inside yet be in walking distance to everything! It was a nice little room.

We probably saw Old Faithful go off 5 or 6 times while we were there. It was just as cool as the previous time before. Ok, so I know this is a weird picture so let me explain. It was 11:00 at night and it was just Shane and I out on the benches in front of Old Faithful enjoying the nice weather. Out of nowhere this dude on the bench shows up and literally sits 1 foot away from us. There were over 50 empty benches that lined the walkway and he had to sit there! On top of that he talked to himself! It was just annoying so we got up and moved 30 benches down.

We went for a "50 mile hike" Shane says (ha ha, wuss!) in the morning before we left to go see all the other geysers and in the background is Old Faithful going off again. I like the little volcano behind me in this picture.

It was a 2.4 mile walk (I think) to morning glory pool, but it was well worth it. Shane also found some Dutchies he got to talk dutch to there. I didn't have a clue what they were saying!

From the Mountains to the Prairies

I loved this scenery because there were probably about 40-50 horses out in the field and it was picture perfect! The mountains, clouds, greenery and the weather was just breathtaking!

We ran into this moose that was needing his hoof cleaned so I thought I would help him out.

When we got to Jackson we stayed at a bed and breakfast called the moosy inn and it just so happened to be .08 miles from the Bar J Wranglers. So we went there for dinner. It was a great show as usual.

This was my favorite part, where Brian Humphrey did the "Rindercella Tairy Fell".

Boating n Blackfoot

We went boating today with Dave and Shellie and Roger and Katie and the kids. It was perfect weather! I got to work on my tan and even I got on the tube! I have even gotten in a couple times. It has been so hot lately that it feels good to get in. We only have it filled part way so they don't drown. Gotta love the pose below. Sheesh, oh well.

So our playground got flooded the other day when we were setting up the pool and when I turned around to see what the kiddos were doing they were filthy! Just the sight of dirt and mud give me the creeps and they were lathering each other up in it! I so remember doing this in our back yard when I was a little kid!

They screamed their heads off when it was time to hose them down before they could go in the house.

Yeah! The Wedding's Over!

So I made my first wedding cake this week! I delivered it to this nice water front cabin in Island Park. The views were awesome! I honestly don't know if I can handle the stress of delivering a cake that far again! It did make it in one piece though. I only had to do minor repairs when I got there. I was wishing Natalie was here to help me figure out the placement of the flowers. I struggled on that part. The bride wanted a mixture of lavender roses and gerber daisies and I couldn't figure out how to place them right!

So this was at the BYU-I alumni picnic. It was a lot of fun! Dad of course with his usual grin and Shay enjoying the yummy dinner. Jaz and her friend Julia playing in the sprinklers across the street. It was nice that I could see them playing from my front window.

It Has Been a Busy Month!

We got a bunch of maple trees to plant in the playground area and along side our deck the other day! It is so nice to have big trees now. Shane also moved some of our pine trees (you can see below) so eventually the neighbors house will not be visible (not that it bothers me).

This is the Father's Day present I made dad. The pole is a plumbing pipe Shane cut for me and we drilled holes in the sides and made caps (out of plumbing parts) then I painted it to look like a barber pole. I think it turned out pretty cool! The squirrels will have a fun time trying to chew those pegs off!

This is the father's day cake I made. ALL chocolate. It was pretty good!

Bread Man Week 2

I love that each week there is different things they have. This week I got a bag of french fries, a birthday cake (I put in the deep freeze for later) taco shells, half and half, sour cream, banana nut muffins, cheese spreads, veggie dips, yogurt, and buns and bread. I didn't get much bread this time because we still have lots from last week. I got home and made taco's and pretty much froze the rest of the items for later.

I Won at Zumba.....Again!

WOO HOO! I won a water bottle, yoga mat and beach towel at zumba tonight. I feel kinda bad because mom bought my ticket (which I haven't paid her back for yet) and my ticket won and she was about the only one from our group that didn't win anything. Katy won a ten pass zumba card (not to our instructor though). It was HOT tonight! I had better have burned off 3 pounds!

Full Moon

So the one night that Chance actually sleeps from 12:30-6:15, Brigham wakes me up at 5:30 with a runny nose. So when I was getting him medicine I saw this out my kitchen window. It was awesome! I have never seen the moon so big before! The crazy thing about it was it was gone in 30 seconds. It was above the trees and 10 seconds later (when I got my camera) it was behind the trees then comletely gone.

The Bread Man

So my friend told me about the bread man who lives down the road from me who helps people out and gives out bread and other things. I was so excited because I have been trying to save us money with couponing and such since I am no longer working. We got bagels, bread bowls, baguettes, soup, nuts, case of yogurt, energy bars, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, cinnamon rolls, muffins, etc. He has everything bread related you can think of and it is free. Bread is one of 4 things we run out of every week and now I don't ever have to worry about it. THANKYOU BREAD MAN!

Brigham's Game

Every year it rains and blows on all his game days, and this year it is no different. He insisted on wearing shorts and sandals and I told him he would freeze, but of course mom don't know nuttin'. He froze.

We bought some maple trees for the playground area and I LOVE them! We got them planted the next day and they look good.

Two Tired Boys

I am really surprised that the camera worked for this picture. My battery has seemed to breathe it's last breath. Jaz had her dance clinic today and the camcorder wouldn't turn on. Brigham had his first baseball game and the memory card wasn't in the camcorder. I seem to be missing all the important stuff this week! Well I was cleaning house today and it was really quiet in the nursery so I went to check on them, and they both had fallen asleep. To me this is amazing because Chance was wide awake last night from 12:30 am to about 7:45 am. NEVER once fell asleep. Then he wouldn't take a nap during the day either, but as soon as we give him to Brigham he is out. Brigham is the best big brother ever! He loves Chance to pieces. I did pick him up and move him to the crib for safety reasons even though they looked so cute together.

I Finally Won Something!

Last night at Zumba we had a summer kick off party and they gave away 33 prizes ranging from Zumba bracelets, free classes, punch cards, massages, haircuts and colors, and scentsy. Well seeing as how there were about 160 people there, I didn't get my hopes up. At the end of class there were 2 prizes left, so I got my stuff and headed for the back to find mom. When I got to the back I sarcastically read off my number as our instructor read off my number. It was hillarious. I jumped for joy and ran back to the front. My prize was worth $45! I LOVE IT!

End of May Activities

I had to take a picture of my little baseball boy. He is even round like a baseball! Brigham's tooth finally fell out (while he was sleeping). He doesn't look so dorky now. By the way, he got really mad at me for posting that dorky picture of him earlier.

Brigham had field day for school and they did face painting and hot dog roasts and dunking booths and much more! He had a blast. I can't believe today is the last day of school!

Here is a little preview of Jaz before the recital. She has been working hard all year learning these dances and this Wednesday at the Performing Arts Center at 7:00 she will finally get to show us her dances. This outfit is her tap routine dancing to "Going to the Chapel" [she calls it "temple"] and the picture below is her ballet routine dancing to "Castle on a Cloud". There are only 5 girls in her group and 3 of them are 2 years older than her, so it will be interesting to see how she does!

OK, and of course Brigham say's "Why don't you take a picture of me?" so I say, "Because you're not cute." Am I Right or what? He is going through an awkward phase where his teeth are falling out and he chooses what to wear himself. Don't worry, he wasn't sad when I told him he wasn't cute. Try and read his shirt. It should say, "Brigham lost his mind!"

I can't believe she is already 5! She had such a good birthday. The only thing she REALLY wanted was Princess Celestia so she had been saving every penny for the last 2 months to buy her. Well she was so excited to see that she got her for her birthday so she can buy something else with her saved money. This is Princess Celestia and Princess Jazlyn in her new dress.

Chance also had his 3 month birthday. He is getting so big! And I am happy to say he FINALLY slept through the night last night! Or maybe I slept through the night last night and never heard him, but we'll go with the first.

Today was so nice that Brigham and Jaz put on their swimsuits and ran through the sprinklers. I missed Zumba last night so I went and hiked the butte. It was 80 degrees and NO breeze. I loved it. Later on we had a hotdog roast out back. I love nights like these.

Cakes Cakes and More Cakes

I was very busy this week with cakes. I had a graduation cake for the mutual kids, and a 90th birthday cake for someone, and of course Jazzy's birthday cake. She wanted a unicorn on top and she chose the colors. This isn't really a good picture, but this was my first topsy turvy cake. I still have a lot to learn. It didn't turn out how I wanted it to.

I am so excited! We found this patio furniture set on craigslist for FREEEEEEE! It is in pretty good shape too! There are 8 tiles missing from the table but how easy is that to fix. The center comes out and there is a fire pit in the middle and it also come with a basin for ice drinks too. WAHOO!

Ok, so I decided that I really want to go shopping, but I can't without any spending money so I tried selling a couple of things on craigslist and that didn't work. I thought and thought and debated on wether or not to start selling cakes. I figured the only way I can make $ from home was to sell them. With a little push from Rebecca I got started. I will admit that I am very nervous! Here goes nothing! With one little post on craigslist I got 3 orders by the next day! So I stopped posting and thought......is this what I really want to do? There's no turning back now, so I posted some more advertising. I now have taken over an old friends customers who has recently quit making cakes. I am so scared! This lady does wedding cakes, which aren't hard at all to make but transporting them scares the bageebies out of me!

So, I went and picked up some packaging supplies for this weeks orders and decided I need a name so I can make some decent looking labels. Does anybody have any cute ideas for a business name? I will be selling cakes for all occasions and also gourmet cupcakes of all sizes. For now I am using my blog name Rebecca came up with long ago. Below is the mother's day cake I am making for everyone. I figured I would start with something simple and gradually work up to the bigger stuff the braver I get.

Playground Fun!

The playground is finally starting to look like a playground. We still need to bury the trampoline and I am still missing my dome climber, but I was able to aquire a new teeter totter today! I'm also hoping to get the inside of the playhouse finished this year too. Here is the fire pit. It will look awesome once we get the cement poured and stamped. I think we are almost ready for the hotdog roast tomorrow. Now everyone keep your fingers crossed for good weather!

So Shane ordered this blender that does EVERYTHING. We have made soup, smoothies, sauces, desserts, and bread. This is a recipe for cinnamon bread. Cool huh? If you are wondering why I am blending it in the bathroom, it is because Chance is TERRIFIED of the blender.

What's Been Going on at Our House?

Well, things have been busy at our house like usual. As you can see Jazzy is still dressing herself. Chance is a happy little 11 week old. He coo's and smiles and talks...ALOT.

Brigham and Jazzy had a good easter. This year the easter bunny left them cheetos!

I completed another class today. It was a tall cakes class. I decided to do an easter theme since it's easter. The top layer here is chocolate cake filled with chocolate pastry filling. You can't really see the top, but there is a nest with eggs in it. It turned out pretty cute.

The middle layer is banana cake filled with a pastry cream filling. And the bottom layer is white cake filled with a strawberry filling. I am excited to have some tomorrow.

Life is Not Fair

Today was a horrid day. I had to take Jaz and Chance to go get their shots. I had to pry Jaz off the door jam and carry her kicking and screaming into the room and I had to get on the table with her and hold her down and cover her eyes while she screamed bloody murder! I hated seeing her so terrified and there was nothing I could do to calm her down. She had to get 5 different shots all at seperate times. It was dragged out too long. She refused to let me take pictures of her bandaids but she let me take a picture of her new doll she got for getting shots. Poor Chance went first and they gave him a drink medicine then 3 shots. It just broke my heart to hear his little screams. I wish it could have been me.

Baby Food Heaven

I got bored today so I was brousing craigslist and someone was wanting to sell their baby food for $25. The cool part is how much I got for $25. I got 80 jars of fruit, 80 jars of vegetables, 80 jars of meat and 4 boxes of cereal. This would cost way over $100 at the store. None of it expires until the fall of 2012! WOOOOHOOOOO! I just wish that he was old enough to eat it now. So in the food storage it will go for a couple more months.

It is hard to believe that Brigham is 7 years old already. I remember the day he was born. Maybe it is easy to remember because we now have a mini me Brigham at home. He had a lot of fun today. He got to open a present in the morning then we went to blast-off, then Pizz Pie Cafe. When we got home he opened his other presents then we had cake and icecream. Later on he got to go to mutual with Shane and race cub cadets. He has grown up so much. He is a good reader, builder and big brother. He is very creative and energetic. We love him so much. Angry Birds

For those of you who haven't heard of "angry birds", it is the most popular app game out. Brigham LOVES to play angry birds. So this year Brigham said I could choose whatever cake I wanted to make him. He wanted it to be a surprise. This was so fun to make. It took 2 days and everything on it I have NEVER done before. The cake is pound cake filled with ganache and covered in modeling chocolate. It should be pretty yummy and very fattening.

Shane gave me the idea to make 3 birds split and flying like they do in the game and I love how it turned out!

ZUMBA ROCKS!

So, Jaz has made a few comments the past few days about my weight. And I'll be honest, it hurts my feelings every time she mentions something although I know she tries not to hurt my feelers. The latest comment went like this:

"Mom, do you want some of my bubble gum?"

"No thankyou, I'm trying to be good so I can get skinny again."

"Huh....again? I've never seen you skinny before."

"WHAT!"

"You've always been big."

So I have decided to kick things from low gear into high gear. I took my first zumba class last night and it was so much fun! I have never sweated so much or enjoyed sweating in my whole life! I feel like I'm going to a dance club rather than a workout. They turn the lights out and have the colored lights that move around the studio and the music is loud and has the coolest beats to it. I feel like we are learning dance moves which makes the fee seem so cheap. It is only $3 a class and the cool part is this : Jaz is done with preschool next month so Shane said I can have her old tuition to put towards zumba. I definately reccommend this to EVERYONE!

I am going to share my weight loss achievements with everyone as I go to keep myself motivated because by golly, I am going to show Jaz what a skinny mom looks like!

One Month Old

I had to post a picture of anything other than the one Shane posted, so here is Chance at one month old. He is starting to get more alert every day. He is growing so fast which is good because I have lots of 0-3 month clothes. I have been doing laundary 2x a week cuz he doesn't have many newborn outfits. I am excited for spring! Mostly because I can't wait to get out of the house and start taking him places.

Chance had his 2 week appointment yesterday and he is doing very well. He now weighs 8lbs 1oz and is in the 27th percentile for weight and he is still 20 inches. He is a very animated sleeper. He smiles and pulls the funniest faces while he sleeps. Sometimes he sleeps with his eyes wide open. Sometimes I'll talk to him and make ridiculous baby noises and I'll realize that when he rolls his eyes at me that he was sleeping the whole time. He still has his days and nights mixed up. He now has been wide awake from 1am to 5 am for 2 weeks in a row. It was very hard the first week, but now it is just hard. I am getting used to it. It is just exhausting to be up with him from 1-5am and then have to wake up 1-2 hours later to get kids ready for school. But we love him and we're glad he is here.

Bath Time

I think it is funny how Shane and I don't make kids that look like us. They always look more like Kevin Bacon. He wasn't so sure about his bath. He kept wanting to eat the washcloth. This time I remembered to cover the winkie.

I know some of you were wanting to know how the delivery went and since I am still not feeling up to phone calls I will post it here. This way I can remember how it happened because things are already starting to get fuzzy.

Saturday, February 12th 2011 I went to the hospital at 7:00 a.m. to be induced. At 7:30 I got my IV put in so they could start the pitocin. She checked me and I was dialated to a 4. The contractions were really starting to hurt but I was afraid to ask for the epidural so early. I waited till about 9:00 and asked for the epidural. After I got it (which was very painful) only my right side went numb. My doctor came in and broke my water about 9:45 - 10:00 ish and said he would be back in a few hours. Now the contractions were really starting to kick in. The nurse decided to check me and I was between a 6 and a 7. She said to buzz her if I felt pressure. Well 2-3 minutes later she came back in and all of a sudden I felt intense pressure and burning. My left side was still working and I could feel everything. She checked me again and said UH Oh! I'll hurry and call the doctor! I started freaking out. I went from a 7 to a 10 in less than 3 minutes. My epidural hadn't kicked in yet and I was terrified. They wouldn't let me put my legs up and I really needed to start pushing. The doctor finally got back around 10:45 and he only got half his scrubs on before I started pushing. The pain was unbelievable! After the doctor got fully dressed I pushed through 3 contractions and 5 minutes later Chance was born. It was such a relief to have all the pressure instantly released. He was such a cutie and I was just amazed at how fast it had all happened.

He weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. He has been such a good boy since his birth. We came home the next day to avoid additional expenses and he has been so good. Yeah I am exhausted and need more sleep but that is expected. He is now eating well and pooping well which makes me happy. We have been told to keep him and us at home for about 8 weeks because rsv hit Idaho falls really hard and all the newborns are catching it. This has me very scared and overly protective so we are asking for very short stay visitors for a while and no kids until his immune system gets a chance to mature a little more. Poor Jazzy has to wear a mask when at home and Brigham has to wash and change as soon as he gets home from school just to be safe. They wanted us to keep them home from school and other activities so they wouldn't bring home a virus but it just isn't possible so we have to be very cautious.

First Doctor Appointment

So I know everyone has been waiting for updates and I thought I would be so good at it but things have been very busy and I haven't had the energy to do anything. We went to the doctor today to get circumcised and I hated being there. I felt so bad for him. He was very good though. He now weighs 7lbs 4 oz and his jaundice level went up so we have to go back in Thursday. I loved the paintings and decorations of the place. The picture below is actually a picture of the ceiling. It is an Alice in Wonderland theme in the lobbies. They had this table glued to the ceiling. It was really cool. Shane getting him changed back into his clothes after the snip snip.

I can't believe the time is here! I had my last doctor appointment today. They wouldn't check my progress because my Dr. is out of town and they didn't want to stir things up, so I don't know what I am dialated to now but they did have to hook me up to the nst machine because I haven't felt much movement lately. As soon as they hooked me up he started to move all over the place so I was able to cancel my nst appointment tomorrow and go home. The next appointment I have is for Saturday morning to be induced! So I will hopefully use these next 3 days to get the house ready and myself rested up for what is to come. The next post you'll see I will have a baby! Wish me luck. Hopefully things will be as easy as the last two deliveries!

FALSE ALARM

So, as many of you might have heard, I had a false alarm. This is just so frustrating! I never know what is real and what isn't! Yesterday I started leaking...ALOT! So I called Devin to talk to Katy because her water broke on it's own and I wanted to see if it was similar to what I was experiencing. Devin told me it sounded the exact same so I called the doctor and they said to go on up to labor and delivery. So I called mom and she hurried over to take care of Jaz. Once I got there and got checked in and in my bed, the contractions stopped all together. They ran a test to see if my water had broken and it was just the mucus plug. They said things were thinned out really good and it was just a matter of time, but they wouldn't keep me there because of the new 39 week rule. So they sent me home. AAARRRRGGGGG! So since I have been home, I am still leaking which is weird and I hurt all over, but I just don't know when to go in so I will wait till the pain is unbearable or until I see a head then try again.

I had a lot of pressure the last couple days so I was excited for my appointment today thinking I had progressed alot. When I went in, I was only a 2 1/2 to 3 cm dialated. This wasn't the depressing part. My doctor got out his calendar to set a date and told me he was going on vacation all next week! I told him he couldn't go. He could tell I was desperate and nervous all at once so he offered to strip my membranes to hopefully start labor over the next couple days. I told him I do not want another doctor delivering my baby, and I was afraid I would go into labor the day he was gone. So he stripped my membranes and told me if nothing happened to go on up to the hospital next Saturday at 7:00 am and he would deliver the baby. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that something will happen by tomorrow. Wish me luck!

This Weeks Progress

Well, there isn't really anything exciting to share this week. I'm still dialated to 2 cm. However he has dropped. My belly measured 35 last week and today it was 32. I also lost 2 pounds again. I have never been so yo-yo like during a pregnancy. I have another NST tomorrow and my next appointment is Feb 1st. Brigham and Jaz are both very sick so I hope they feel better by the time he comes. So I am in a hurry to have him here and at the same time glad he is waiting till they get well.

Just an update: I went to the doctor today and I am dialated to 1 1/2 cm. One year ago the hospital made a new rule that no one can be induced earlier than 39 weeks which makes me nervous. I'm afraid that the baby will be too big by then. I don't want to split in half! So, if I don't go into labor on my own, he will be scheduled to come around Feb 10th. So three more full weeks. I'm trying to enjoy the peace and quiet and freedom right now while I can but it is hard to enjoy when you feel so miserable. Maybe I'll go make chocolate chip cookies. They always make me happy!

The Diaper Party

Katy was feeling ambitious and threw me a diaper party. Rebecca is diapering Katy in this picture. Somehow I lost the pictures of their faces. Katy made a lot of yummy snacks and treats and it was perfect. It was a very quiet party (which is how I like things right now). Thankyou to all for your gifts, even to those of you who weren't here and still mailed and sent me gifts earlier. I have been spoiled once again.

Mom is diapering Lorilee. They won because mom is a pro at changing big people diapers. Their diaper had tabs on the front. Once again, no faces. Dang it! I don't know what happened to those pictures!

My Last Ultrasound!

We had our last ultrasound today and he was so cramped in there it was very hard to get a good picture. He kept his hand and arm in front of his face the whole time. You can see his nose and left eye but that is a hand in front of his right eye. You can only see the left side of his lips too because stuff was in the way. All that blubbery stuff to the bottom right is the umbilical cord. He is vertex right now and they say he measures at 36 weeks and weighs 5 pounds 15oz. His fluid level is perfectly normal this time and everything else looks good. So I am excited he is the size he is.
